 2D Surface Design Final September 30, 2020 For my final pattern, I have taken inspiration specifically from these examples: The idea of fillets was very prevalent in all of the ten examples I had but, my overall idea came from mixing the colour scheme of the last example above with filleted shapes. My idea was to create somewhat of a kitchen tablecloth design similar to those antique decorative ones that are usually bright and colourful. With that in mind I got to work on Rhino and created my final product. Here are the details of the actual design itself:

 Examples of Surface Design Lesley M September 25, 2020 From the photos I've taken of different surface designs, I took some inspiration from a select few and decided to create a pattern that has a focus on filleted shapes. Here are some roughs of what I want to create for the milestone project: I was also possibly going to try more abstract patterns but I got carried away after making the vegetable pattern.

  Castle September 18, 2020 For the castle project, I chose to create a small walled kingdom on Rhino. I took inspiration from European Castles and walled fortresses. I used lots of gothic style arches and spheres for building details. I also included a fountain, a small market, and a small gazebo within the walls. Here are some renders of the full castle: Here are renders of details of the castle: Here is a basic description of how I made some of the more detailed pieces in the castle: - Roofed Towers: The roofed towers were made using the polygon tool and polyline for the details of the tower itself. The roof was made using the polygon tool for the bottom and the loft command for the pointed roof itself. I then used boolean difference to carve three arched windows on the towers in the front of the castle. Between the roofed towers, I made copies of an arched hallway created using a polyline. - Gazebo: The gazebo was created using lots of polygon tools (specifically one with six s...
